CBE Policies
Computer Based Examinations (CBEs) of Level-3 & Level-4
In continuation of our Notification No. ED/CBE/Notif/1376 dated July 01st, 2024, regarding conversion of Written Examinations of Level - 3 and 4 to Computer Based Examinations (CBE), the following information is for the facilitation of the students as per requirements of the Computer Based Examinations:
- All examinations of Level - 1 to Level - 4 will be computer based and will be conducted in PIPFA approved computer labs at Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad and through Remote Access for other cities and overseas students. However, examinees willing to appear in Lab Based Examinations can select the nearest PIPFA approved computer lab in cities mentioned above of their choice. The Quarterly CBEs will be conducted through Remote Access only.

Corporate Sector Papers of Level-3 and Level-4 which are common with Public Sector (AGP, CGRA, PG, PMAD, PRAD, WAPDA, Sindh Finance, KP Govt. and other Govt. Organizations) will be examined through Computer Based System from Winter Exam-2024 onwards. The common papers are:
- Financial Accounting (Corporate Sector and WAPDA)
- Taxation (Corporate Sector and WAPDA)
- Management Accounting (Corporate Sector, AGP, CGA, PG, PRAD, KPK, Sindh Finance & other Public Sector organizations)
- The CBE papers of Level-3 and Level-4 will be of 3 hours.
- Late arrival will be allowed up to 30 minutes from the exam start time for Lab based CBEs only on filling the Late arrival form and no extra time will be allowed to such late comers. Late arrival is not allowed in Remote Access Examinations.
- Now Students can appear twice in a session i.e. Main and Quarterly CBEs. Quarterly window for CBEs will only be opened through Remote Access.
- Gateway Examinees may also reappear in Quarterly CBE through Remote Access subject to completion of all prerequisites of Gateway Examinations within prescribed time schedule
- Papers Reading Time, Solutions, Comments and Re-totaling are only available for Written Examinations.
- A Mock Exam of CBE will be made available at student login for the convenience of students.
- Examinee can appear in maximum to Six (6) papers in each available examination window i.e. Main or Quarterly CBE.
- The revised dates for CBEs have been incorporated in the Academic Calendar in accordance with CBE requirements, available on Student Login or PIPFA Official Website.

The examinees are advised to keep them abreast of latest updates about CBE Exams (Level-1 to Level-4) via PIPFA official website, Student Login and PIPFA Regional offices at Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad.
