Why should I join PIPFA?
To become professional accountant of high standing, the need for which is over four times that of top-level professionals. PIPFA’s qualification has its own independent worth but those want to further enhance their proficiency can use it as a ladder to become Chartered Accountants or Cost and Management Accountants (In affordable cost).
How many intakes are there per year?
There are two sessions in PIPFA, Summer and Winter. Summer session begins in December and ends in May whereas Winter Session starts in June and concluded in November.
What is the program duration?
PIPFA education Program duration is 18 month (03 levels of 6 months duration each) after Intermediate. For individual with higher qualifications such as B.Com, M.Com, MBA etc, this duration is reduced proportionate to the exemptions available to them.
What is the classes’ schedule?
Coaching is compulsory for PIPFA. PIPFA conducts its own supervised classes at Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad. Classes are also conducted in all major cities of Pakistan through PIPFA’s Approved Coaching Centers. Coaching may be exempted to those students who belong to remote areas where PIPFA coaching facility is not available. Those Students may avail Coaching Exemption option against the payment of Complete Subject Fee.
What is the entry Requirements?
Minimum Qualification for taking admission in PIPFA is Intermediate (HSC) or equivalent qualification No entry test required. CAT Qualified may also eligible for taking admission in PIPFA.
If I only have a diploma, can I still apply for the Program?
Any kind of diploma from any institutes approved by Govt. of Pakistan that is equivalent to intermediate is accepted for taking admission in PIPFA.
When is the deadline to submit the Registration / Application form?
Registrations are open throughout year but students usually enroll themselves in December to January for Summer session and June to July for Winter session.
How do I make a payment?
Payments are made through demand drafts / pay orders / cash deposit in PIPFA bank account, cross cheques are not accepted.
Is PIPFA recognized?
PIPFA constituted in 1993 by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) and Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP). The Institute is registered with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as Association Not for Profit under section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984. PIPFA is also an associate member of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
Is any membership available in PIPFA?
The education Program of PIPFA leads to post-qualification membership known as Associate Public Finance Accountant (APFA) and later on they can become Fellow Public Finance Accountant (FPFA).
What Market opportunities available to PIPFA Qualified?
PIPFA members are known as APFA and FPFA. They are eligible for the position of Company Secretary in Public Listed Companies. For Middle Management opportunities, the need of 2nd tier Executives is more than 4 times than the Top Level Executives. In Public Sector organizations PIPFA qualification is recognized as mandatory qualification for promotion to or confirmation on the post of BPS-17.
Can I register myself if I am waiting for my results?
Minimum qualification for the registration in PIPFA is intermediate where as students who are already appeared in their exams like intermediate or B.com and waiting for their result can also apply for conditional admission and can attend classes but their admission would be confirmed only when their relevant results are announced.
Can I get exemption in coaching too?
Coaching is part and parcel of PIPFA before attempting any examination. It is obligatory for a candidate to attend at least once the coaching classes in the relevant subjects at PIPFA Supervised or Approved coaching centers.
